    Is it ok to use Stronghold if my dog has already had the 6 month shot for heartworms or would that be double dosing?

    Stronghold's ingredient is Selamectin. If this heartworm shots are not Selamactin then it should be safe.

    Stronghold doesn't cover ticks. We recommend you use a tick collar (Seresto, Kiltix etc) or Nexgard, Frotline with Stronghold if you have tick issues on your area.

    Stronghold doesn't protect from ticks. It covers fleas, intestinal worms and heartworm.

    I have been purchasing Stronghold/Revolution for my dog from PetBucket for about 5 years. My dog has never had a flea on him.
